Tom Johnson (born August 30, 1984) is an American football defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Southern Miss. ==Early years== Johnson played high school football for Coach Jerry Alexander at Moss Point High School in Moss Point, Mississippi. He was a late starter who began playing as a junior, lettering two-years. As a senior in 2000-2001, Johnson recorded 90 tackles (25 for a loss) and eight sacks that helped Moss Point win the State 5A Championship, leading this to be named to the All-state and All-Coast teams. He was also invited to play in the MHSAA All-Star Game following his senior year.
